Nuts!

My cats are nuts...currently they're chasing each other through the house, coming to a halt by joyfully jumping onto and "hiding behind" a big plastic bag (originally the take-home container for a big picture we'd had framed). Yesterday they discovered that our front room has a windowsill, and spent much of the day there, yardwatching. I suspect we need to play with them more, but work and (to a larger extent) the foster kittens (and hockey) are taking up all my time. G had some fun playing with Google while we watched a Tivo'd "America's Got Talent" ep last night: we have an old yo-Koosh (a koosh ball on a long piece of elastic) and he'd sit on the sofa and idly swing it around until Google pounced on it. Google (or Goog, as we're tending to call him) would then walk off triumphantly with the koosh in his mouth...until he reached the string's elastic limit, when it would then zip out of his mouth and back to G. Rinse, repeat. We could tell after a while that Google didn't think much of the taste of rubber, but was quite entranced by the new game, and it was easy for G to do while watching TV.

Very amusing.

We did, however, end up covering up the stained glass components that I'd had out on the floor there, as they tended to think the newspaper was fun to play in, but we were worried that they might cut their paws on the panes of glass. *sigh* I really need to make some out-of-class progress on that thing...it's only a six-week class, and though I know I won't get the project (a big one) done in time, it'd be nice to be further along soas to better use my time with the teacher.

Who is English, btw, and who was happy to take in some of my excess black tea. :-) She does custom stained glass for a living, along with blowing glass.

Wistful sigh.
