Just got back from my long-awaited week's vacation with G on Maui. Still catching up with email/snail-mail/laundry/woodworking/housework/Tivo, but we took a ton of photos, which I hope to be posting to Flickr in the next few days.

We'd tried unsuccessfully to find a disposable or semi-disposable waterproof camera with a flash in stores before we left. As fortune would have it, my own little carry-around-with-me's camera's little screen went poof (or rather, pop) while in my trunk on the super-hot day preceding our departure, so we used it as an excuse to shell out the extra $ for a "real" camera, since we'd found out that Canon makes a couple of nice little models that you can also buy a waterproof "bubble" for. :-) So we did!

The new camera worked great, and we have a ton of underwater photos in our collection...including the sea turtle that we encountered while snorkeling and swam with, which was the highlight of my week. :-)
